When is Original Rainbow Cone open?
Rainbow Cone is open seasonally, from March to November. The hours increase as the weather improves in the summer. The hours can be seen here.
Is there a restroom at Original Rainbow Cone?
There are no public restrooms at the Rainbow Cone building, so please plan ahead. There are some restaurants in the area that have public restrooms.
Will I have to wait in line for an hour?
Rainbow Cone has long been infamous for its lines but, due to some updates in technology that ensure quality, we guarantee you will be in and out in a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes, which means you’ll have time to come back for seconds!
Does Original Rainbow ever close early?
On occasion, if the weather is poor, Rainbow has been known to close earlier than posted hours during the off-season. If there is any question, please call 773.238.7075.
What if I’m allergic to nuts?
There are two flavors of the Rainbow Cone that have nuts, pistachio and Palmer House. If you have an allergy, please let the cashier know, and the scooper will replace those nut flavors with vanilla and wash the utensils to prevent a reaction.
